Not saying it's spot on, just some similarities. For a 20 year old (21 this year, released in 2000) game it's pretty interesting. This game is set in the year 2052 and its interesting how many things that happen in this world have happened in our world or currently happening.

Another example was the World Trade Center towers are missing in the NY missions. During development the developers justified this by stating that they were destroyed by terrorists earlier in the story line (but was removed due to a memory constraint, so they gave it an ingame reason).
