So, Nintendo. Did you make Nintendo Switch online good, or is it utterly bad?

Nintendo's paid online service, #NintendoSwitchOnline, has finally been released for everyone to purchase. This now means to play online compatible games such as Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Splatoon 2, Super Smash Bros Ultimate and Mario Tennis Aces, you must purchase an online membership. You also gain access to new features like cloud saving, the mobile app, #NES games and exclusive rewards (that aren't available yet). But does all of this justify and warrant a purchase of the online, or should it have been kept free forever?
