However, in real life Helena's great-grandfather was actually against the movement. Her great grandfather was Herbert Henry Asquith, a former UK prime minister who served from 1908 to 1916 and was vehemently opposed to the suffrage movement, which of course garnered criticism from supporters of women's rights at the time.
