In the Second Sons episode, Melisandre performs a ritual with leeches that is thought to cause the deaths of Robb Stark, Joffrey Baratheon, and Balon Greyjoy. All three deaths come to pass later on, but George R.R. Martin has mentioned that this was supposed to be a topic of debate for fans.
