Last one of this batch! (But more are on the way! I just have too many good MIDI files that deserve to be animated and shared.)

The music in Diddy Kong Racing (a Nintendo 64 game) was written by David Wise, and that includes this intro. David Wise also composed the music for the original Donkey Kong Country, which includes the famous "DK Island Swing" music, and Star Fox Adventues (among other games like Battletoads). He's awesome. Look him up. This MIDI file was arranged and sequenced by Paper_Luigi and uploaded to VGMusic.om on 2/11/07. There are so many instruments in this song, I feel I need to list them, with the help of the "MIDI list" program that comes with MIDIjam:
1. Acoustic Grand Piano (background) (MIDI number 0)
2. Marimba (opening) (12)
3. Rock Organ (used for some of the transitions, and background during Drumstick's fiddle solo) (18)
4. Accordian (used for the transition between Timber and Bumper, though this should be an organ, #16-18. It is correctly used as the transition between Bumper and Conker.) (21)
5. Acoustic Guitar (nylon) (background and transition between intro and main) (24) (mapped to the electric guitar model)
6. Electric Jazz Guitar (background, used instead of a bass guitar, #34 or 35. It gets super low and distorted near the end, but you can only hear that if you solo this track.) (26)
7. Distortion Guitar (Krunch) (30)
8. Baritone Sax (the one saxaphone that is visible in MIDIjam; alto and tenor saxes aren't) (plays Kazooie's melody, which is supposed to be on a kazoo, but there's no kazoo in MIDI.) (67)
9. Flute (Conker's part. The notes here are too high for the MIDIjam flute, so some notes don't show. Paper_Luigi could have used a piccolo here instead.) (73)
10. Drumset, of course. Nothing fancy here.
11. Lead 5 (charang) (Bumper's part, although this should be a steel guitar, #25) (transition between Drumstick and Pipsy, aka fiddle and steel drums) (84)
12. Banjo (Banjo's part obviously, though it doesn't play the melody.) (105) (invisible)
13. Shamisen (106) (invisible, used as background in the middle somewhere)
14. Kalimba (Tiptup's part, though in the game it sounds like a Xylophone) (108) (invisible)
15. Fiddle (used for Timber AND Drumstick's parts, although Timber's part should be played on a harmonica, which MIDIjam has, #22) (110)
16. Steel Drums (Pipsy's part) (114)

So, to recap, here's the order of the instruments/characters in the song:
1. Marimba, drums, acoustic guitar, and a piano glissando provide our intro. At some point after the solos begin, a jazz electric guitar is added. Piano, two guitars, and drums continue to play throughout the song.
2. Timber the tiger - Harmonica, but played as a fiddle in this file. Organ (or accordian) transition to...
3. Bumper the badger - Steel guitar (charang synth here). Accordian transition to...
4. Conker the squirrel - Flute or piccolo (flute here)
5. Tiptup the turtle - Marimba or Xylophone (invisible Kalimba here)
6. Drumstick the rooster - Fiddle
7. Pipsy the mouse - Steel drums
8. Banjo the bear - Banjo and Kazoo (Baritone sax here)
9. Krunch the Kremling/crocodile - Electric guitar
10. Ending (where Diddy and Wizpig appear in the game) with some instrument repeats

I wanted to use NEMIDi's MIDI converter (converts Midi to Txt) to fix some of the tracks in this file to be the correct instruments, but I couldn't understand the way the code was written. Normally, I just find the beginning of a track in the code and change its instrument number, but things weren't that easy.
