const should be used if you want to define a variable whose value should not be reassigned after initialization, however keep in mind that if the value is an object or array, its properties can still be modified.

let allows you to reassign a variable's value this means you can change the value of let multiple times withing the block where it is defined whereas const is used to declare variables whose values are intended to remain constant after they are initialized, once the value is assigned it cannot be changed.
