This was no regular randomizer playthrough, I added some additional rules to create a challenge. The rules were:
-Never Saving (turning this into a hardcore playthrough)
-Not using Counter Crest (an accessory which turns any slightly challenging encounter that has a physical attack into a joke)
-Not buying Training Chips (if you can find them in the shops, you'll have yourself a free ticket to obtain capped stats for everything in an absurd time frame if you so desire)
-Only using one starter Rookie throughout the game (making life disks useless)

This was played on version 1.09 of the randomizer. I used the PAL (European) version of the game, patched to run at 60 FPS. I played on RetroArch with the SwanStation core. (Patch to create the PAL60FPS version: https://github.com/markisha64/dmw2003NTSC)

If you paid attention, you might have seen me lose my progress at the end of Day 3 due to an emulator crash. I recovered my save file for the next session, it is a 1:1 replica of what I had. Every stat was adjusted to be the same, every item and digivolution level, EXP and BITs, everything except for the blast gauge is the same. I wasn't willing to take that emulator crash (it was about 5 hours lost) and try to recover it "legitimately", it wouldn't have been the same save file if I did anyway. I strongly believe that was the best course of action to take, as I was robbed and had no control over the loss. Definitely a reminder to always maintain a recent safety save state.
