In December 1991, Marshall organizes a meeting with members of the Rogue Black Ops team to discuss their next move against Pantheon, who has infiltrated the criminal underworld in Avalon. Sev suggests establishing an alliance with the French Syndicate by helping them take down a rival organization, the Luttazzi Family. Following several successful attacks on the Luttazzi's operations, a bounty is issued on Sev and Marshall. Shortly after, during a celebration, Sev and her associates are attacked by a mysterious assassin codenamed "Nocturne". Sev barely manages to escape, but Nocturne and his followers give chase.
