Dinkum Part 1 - Let's Get Started First Steps Walkthrough Video
2To me, Dinkum is the bridge between Stardew Valley, Minecraft and Animal Crossing on the Nintendo Switch. In Animal Crossing the Nook family runs everything like a mafia family, in Dinkum you have the mild mannered older person, Fletch. It is a life sim game where you create a new village on a deserted Island and then invite inhabitants onto that island where they life and prosper. You also invite shop keepers to come and build on the island to keep your residents happy. This game also includes mining to get ore, chopping down trees to get wood, machinery you can buy in order to chop wood and tin. Also you have to scavenge to raise money in order to buy better things, there's building bridges so you can move around the island properly. All that I have explained doesn't even touch on just how complex and rewarding this game actually is. It is incredibly fun to play, highly addictive with beautiful Australian flora and fauna all around you.
I massively recommend this early access game, I really hope it only gets better.
