This is a Metroid style game I was working on a few years ago. I've been looking into Axiom Verge lately, and it got me interested in this game again. I'll probably have a playable version soon.

I stopped working on this build because it was too clunky, and I made a few other poor decisions in the design. It was quite simply a lack of planning. But I had some cool ideas for it, even if it was a little too close to Metroid. I do plan to make this game some day, just not any time soon.

I just tossed some suitable music from my favourites on NG into the video. I imagine when I finally make the game for real it will have an original and more cohesive soundtrack.

I'll have a longer an more detailed write up with the playable demo.
