Tried the demo as part of Steams Next Fest as it was described as strategy & tower defense, two of my favourite genre's.

Initially my thought was this was just another Age of Empires clone and to be honest up to a certain point it is, but there's more to it than that.
It's not particularly obvious from my gameplay but in the endless mode demo it showed a much more 'base defending' side and when you look at the trailer videos on steam it definitely has that they are billions/base defense vib.

I enjoyed my time with demo and i would recommend you give it at try, what have you got to lose.
The game is due to be released in January 2022.

In the RTS-game “Diplomacy is Not an Option” you will become a medieval feudal lord in a midlife crisis. Due to your position you must constantly make hundreds of decisions a day related with city management and economic development. You are tired of this monotonous and, so it seems, meaningless existence. But things are about to change: hordes of bloodlusted enemies, swarms of scary monsters and crowds of rebellious peasants at any second can bring some life to your working schedule.
