The boss's achievement is actually listed before the Soul Snatcher and Ibuki's achievements, and it did indeed feel easier. However, it will use an acid rain effect that lowers everyone's defenses and applies DOT damage, and you can't resist it. Worse yet, if you don't keep hitting it with fire skills, it will heal itself and apply regen. You need to have Jake buffed up so that he can deal massive fire damage.
