In this Windows Tutorial I will be showing you how to delete the pagefile.sys and hiberfil.sys and free up lots of space on you SSD or HDD, I will also talk about what each one of these Windows System Files are.

Disable Hibernation CMD: powercfg -h off

Pagefile.sys is the Windows paging file, also known as the swap file, or virtual memory file. It's a file that Windows uses as Virtual Memory. Virtual Memory is disk space Windows uses when it runs out of physical memory, or RAM.

HIBERFIL.SYS AND PAGEFILE.SYS are system-generated files. They are used by Windows for hibernation and virtual memory control.
