29Longplay of the NTSC version of the Disaster Report, known in PAL regions as SOS: The Final Escape, or Zettai Zetsumei Toshi originally in Japan. It's a PS2 exclusive Third Person Adventure-Disaster game (my own name for this), which is a sort of disaster survival walking simulator (?) Do note - this is the NTSC version that is NOT Undubbed. Meaning - this is the original western release of the game, with English dubbing, English names for the city and all the regions in it, aaaaaaand makes almost all the characters in-game (that matter)... BLONDE, all shades of it. Yep, it's Disaster Report: Blondified. Hueh. It was developed by Irem, and published by Agetec. It was released in April 2002 first in JP, and then in February/March in PAL/NTSC. Here played on a PCSX2 emulator, at 3840x2880 resolution, with widescreen hack enabled, and with the weird Blur/Depth of Field left in (not removed like in my Undubbed longplay of this game). Recorded at 4K30 H.265 HEVC via OBS.

The year is 2001. After ten years of construction, the government announces to the world the completion of a top-secret project based in the Pacific Ocean, known as Stiver Island (Capital Island in the Japanese version). In a feat of revolutionary technology, the government used its top engineering talent to transform a minor spur of rock that barely stood above the ocean waves into a thriving man-made island, complete with a state-of-the-art metropolis called Capital City.
In June 2005, Keith Helm (Masayuki Sudō), the protagonist and player character is on his way to Capital City for the first time, to start his dream job as an editor for the prestigious Town Crier newspaper. Upon his arrival, an earthquake occurs. Soon after regaining consciousness, he comes across another survivor, Karen Morris (Mari Aizawa). They travel together as strong aftershocks continue until they meet a man named Greg Bach (Kōji Jin'nai).
