Discord is going to be requesting government issued identification to gate off sensitive material and while it might work for stuff like sensitive material its a matter of time before this becomes a slippery slope. Especially if these companies get hacked and the malicious attacked get a hold of other people ID. Currently discord cant be trusted with that sort of information/data yet Among other reasons why.
