In this video, I talk about the state of Legends of Runeterra. But unlike the echo chamber that's been focused on placing all the blame on the LoR dev team at Riot accusing them of a lack of communication, the disconnects and the supposed need for massive and frequent balance patches with nerfs and buffs to shake up the meta, I wanted to start discussing what's on the other side of the coin: the community. More important, why there has been next to no effort from the players to push the metagame forward from a deckbuilding and critical thinking perspective. Instead, choosing to stick with the same decks people have been comfortable with for months on end and the only time any deckbuilding gets done is during the first week of a new expansion. While the remaining seven weeks are spent sitting on coattails and never going outside the "box" that is the meta tier list, expecting Riot to balance the game within that limited "box".
In addition to discussing the state of Legends of Runeterra as a community, I go over the patch notes for 2.9, the card changes, a deckbuilding strategy that I see almost no one talk about that would massively solve our issues and some other hidden meanings behind the nerfs that a few others have alluded to the past 48 hours.
