Part 50 - There is the old trio from the original Disgaea. They love to make an appearance in almost every Disgaea game as either a story member or a post game fight. They rarely miss a game and I love them in their original game. Flonne the love angel, Etna the demon that learned to respect Laharl and have fun, and Laharl himself the overlord that learned to appreciate his team and the position he has. These qualities were all there in either Disgaea 1 or Disgaea D2 the only direct sequel in the series. But have you noticed that each cameo after that a little bit of that growth seems to fall away? They lose what made them characters in their original games and become more of a trope or exaggeration of their initial character starts in their games. I still love them but this one just felt the most pronounced with how they were done in this game I guess. Am I wrong? What do you think?
