It's well-known that subclasses give bonus base stats (a total of +1000 to all stats with every subclass mastered), but despite not actually increasing your actual current stats, these bonuses are actually applied immediately to your 'base stats' used for level-up stat-gain calculations.

As shown in the video, after recruiting a new Celestial Hostess and levelling her to 9999 (for Angel's Prayer and 14 evility slots) then reincarnating to level 1, ending with 30 base ATK, at 0:49 I then check her level 9999 stats with the Juice Bar and find that she gains 119,976 ATK — exactly 9998 level-ups each giving 40% of her base 30 ATK, as expected.

After mastering a bunch of subclasses which give a total of +273 base ATK, at 4:14 I then check with the Juice Bar again, and suddenly her level 9999 ATK would instead raise by 1,211,757 — nearly exactly 9998 level-ups each giving 40% of her base 303 ATK, which would be 1,211,757.6 ATK gained.

It's a very noticeable difference!

In other words, you don't actually need to reincarnate after maxing out all subclasses in order to reap the full benefit; it's fine if you're already level 1 before maxing them out, and then level up only after all subclasses are mastered.

(By the way, the reason why my actual displayed stats slowly increase is because subclass stars also increase your aptitudes, and so my equipment-gained stats are slowly increasing. With base 90% ATK she gains 10,639 ATK from the Good Staff (so after one same-class reincarnation's +5% she actually gets 11,230 ATK) and then after mastering six classes gets +18% and therefore ends up gaining 13,358 ATK over her actual level-one 30 ATK — which itself hasn't changed despite the mastered subclasses — for a final ATK of 13,388 ATK.)
