Dishonored 1: The Brigmore Witches Part 9: Prowling the Grounds
So, after getting to the Manor, we continue to prowl around and just have some cool exploration (as opposed to that really boring exploration). During our little journey though, we encounter a new kind of Enemy which are seem Summons; I think they are like Familiar’s for the witches but the general idea behind them is that they look like dogs but, if you don’t destroy the skull when it falls to the ground, they continue to regenerate. If memory serves me correctly, there might have been dogs within the main game but the fact that they don’t die straight away is cool. There isn’t to many enemy types within the game as of yet and most of the people we have fought sort of feel very similar outside of combat. What I mean by that, knocking out a Witch feels the exact same way as knocking out any guard but, in combat, Witches can blink all around you and can be frustrating to pin down while a guard uses weapons to try and take you down. I’m not really sure how they would make knocking them out different besides using a different animation. By adding the dogs, it makes things a little more interesting since you have to play differently against them. I don’t think you can choke out a dog like you can a guard so you would have to use sleep darts (I think, not sure if they would work against these Familiars). It nice to see some variety in enemy types and would love to see more in Dishonored 2.
