6DISRUPTION is a third-person-shooter fight for the survival of humanity. Set in a near-futuristic world a socially distanced and disengaged human populace has become dangerously dependent on robotization. Established human social components such as privacy, intimacy, and community are all in states of disruption. Already outnumbered by robots, humanity unwittingly marches towards technological singularity, and the battle for the control of the system begins.
THE WORLD
DISRUPTION is set in the city of Nutropolis, a sprawling mix of post-modern high-rises, robo-ghetto-infested tenements, empty post-industrial factories and abandoned, underground transportation tunnels. Players are challenged to navigate and survive threats and battles set in locations that range from narrow alleyways, treacherous rooftops, a partially flooded derelict subway system, cyber-vermin-infested subterranean labyrinths, and a seedy underbelly district of human-robot interaction.
GAME PLAY
DISRUPTION expands the shooter genre with aerial drone flight, hand-to-bot melees, bot-boxing and specialized weaponry. The environments are designed in a series of wide levels that are precise and rich in detail without being repetitive or scattered. Core missions evolve the story line while non-serialized side missions allow exploration and expansion.
DISRUPTION’s playable characters are members or allies of the Forces United, a team diversely talented paramilitary fighters, each possessing unique strengths, skills and colorful backstory. Playable character strengths and skills are influenced by the character's classification as either a Fighter, Hacker or Builder.
