Simon Petrikov's story is one of tragedy. After suffering for centuries and finally being brought back to his sanity and his love, his happy life was ripped away from him by the same object that sent him spiraling. Now, he searches exhaustedly throughout the multiverse for even a single sign of his love and runs himself ragged. But when he finally finds her and is able to feel anything, he is unable to find anything positive to say about himself. However, it is thanks to Betty's love and sacrifice that he is able to realize his self worth and remember that he is loved. I cried. A lot.
The Adventure Time spinoff / sequel series, Fionna and Cake was a masterpiece so I started gushing about it. Now I talk about the original show too.
