Ok, it might be unfair to say for sure that DW2 did it, or it was just simple bad luck.

This Gigabyte A7 X1 with RTX 3070 (140W) was my latest and best spec'ed machine I have used to game for the past 7 months. It died a silent death while I was having dinner, been playing the newly released Distant Worlds 2 for the past week or so.

Obviously the game ran (paused) while I was afk, came back to see it (crashed), powered off and it won't power on again. Judging by the look of it, I think it's likely the mainboard or CPU (or components serving the CPU such as the VRM) fried.

Time for RMA....
