Despite the name, the jumpscares of "Spooky's House of Jumpscares" aren't that bad. The main attraction is running away from various terrifying beasts known as specimens, collected by the titular ghost girl. The specimens range from a toothy blob whose ooze slows you down, a psychotic deer demon with monstrous deer servants, a wooden statue that pays homage to both SCP-173 and Majora's mask, and a Japanese schoolgirl spirit who swallows you whole if she catches you. Each specimen has their own strengths, weaknesses, and disturbing theme.

In earlier versions of the game, Specimen 10 was a pale snake-worm thingy that had a startling face but was easy to escape and behaved perfectly identical to a previous specimen. Later versions however made a new specimen 10: a revolting alien that bursts out of the head of the old specimen 10 that gets stronger the farther away you get from it! Its theme is surprisingly slow and nails specimen 10's otherworldliness even when compared to the specimens.
