For the last song of this batch we look at R-type Delta, the 3D debut of the overlooked yet venerable R-Type franchise. For those who don't know: R-type centers around humanity's war with an evil parasitic shapeshifting race known as the Bydo who have absorbed aliens across other galaxies to grow into a huge empire. With the help of tamed Bydo known as "cores" and various advanced spaceships at your disposal (especially in the last game), its up to you to confront the Bydo and keep earth safe.

In the 5th stage of R-Type Delta you enter a Bydo Graveyard, which is just as visceral and vile as you would expect from a such a race. The music sums the surreal and nightmarish environment perfectly.
