Definitely a game to define the slang term, mid:
1) These mecha battles do not allow any movement/dodging (you block and atrack at close range with sword, where gun is long range), and enemies can be damage sponges if you can't summon Maho.
2) No exploration and dumped into the pyramid after this, which is just a palette swap of the forest (same 3 hit combos, purple enemies, and just summon maho is new).
3) The dialogue is bad (let alone I shouldn't have to pay attention to on screen hints by text when there are vocals).
4) You have to backtrack and get keys (no treasures/special move tools to learn in dungeons like zelda/wild arms).
5) The charge Slash has a nice forest fire animation, but you're vulnerable while charging and can't cancel it to attack faster.
I am glad this was a fraction of the cost of card en ciel, which was even worse (that dialogue carried on more than metaphor) and I didn't like the discard mechanics. Trailers can fool in both cases, so be careful. I preferred the limited sparkster 2 mecha battle prologue in rocket knight adventures resparked.
