Diving game strat?

6I was doing a glitchless child dungeons race when I decided for shits that I'd take out a bomb before jumping down. I was able to effectively grab 3 rupees without even diving, saving at least 5-10 seconds. In this video you can see me grab two easily without diving. This should definitely be allowed in glitchless as it's not really a *glitch* in my mind.
I'm not exactly sure how/why this works. I'm assuming since he's jumping rather than diving that he falls in deeper.
