DIY - Making A Test Cutting Stand (Tameshigiridai)
218This week, I made a Tameshigiri (Test Cutting) Stand with 6 dollars worth of wood.
A test cutting stand is something I wanted/needed since 2005 when I started to practice and I never took the time to make one.
I haven't been practicing these past two years (as you will see at the end of the video) but I plan on fixing that and making a stand is a good way to start.
I used a 2500x90x90mm piece of wood for the stand and turned the spikes out of a 50mm diameter round piece.
