Okay, so the wiring in this video is a little sketchy, but it worked and no one got hurt!
We made Our own custom WIFI enabled smart fan and it cost just a few £££££ and it was easy to do using the Sonoff Basic WIFI Smart switch.
This device can turn almost any electrical appliance into a shiny IOT smart device.
You can also use the home automation eco system of your choice either Google Home, Amazon Alexa or IFTTT or just the Ewelink app on your smart phone or tablet.
