Update: just posted another video about this with easier method in another channel of mine! https://youtu.be/VyF4vEp9eUQ

Recently, my iPhone & iPad are refusing to charge properly and my mac mini kept saying that the USB are drawing too much power hence disabling the USB port to my iPhone & iPad.

After troubleshooting with a new lightning cable, I realised it's the cable problem and upon inspection & I was shocked to felt the cable super hot to my touch!!

I immediately unplug it from the USB hub and found a big gap on the cable!!

I understand that wear & tear is inevitable hence I look hard online for wear & tear prevention for lightning cable and found someone using a spring to "protect" the cable from bending too much when in plugged into the usb port or into the phone creating an additional layer of "armour" around the cable where it's prone to breakage.

I thank my friend Bud for suggesting to me to make this video to help everyone who in desperate need to protect their expensive original apple charging cables.
