DIY - wiring up a new power bank to an Allview E4 Lite with dead battery, possibly dead charge port.
This is a procedure worth doing to old phones, which can still be used for something like desk clock and/or nanny cam. The 2600mAh power bank usually costs around 3USD, but you can use bigger ones, if you like. The most important thing is the voltage. Most power banks have 3.7Volt cells wired in parallel, so voltages don't add up, but there are some premium power banks, which can charge laptops too... they usually have 3-4 (pairs of) cells in series, to achieve 12-19Volt output. Those are inappropriate for such a DIY project, because then you'd wire up/drain only one cell to the phone, and that's really unhealthy for a serially wired power bank...
NOTE: if it's your first time, you should definitely discharge the power bank first, by using it to charge up something....
