When I first described this game a balanced gameplay with good physics, oh boy things might taken a turn of direction.

One thing is to mention, that depending which character you play are somewhat the same stats as other characters. There are three types of racers distributed by weight classes: Lightweight, Middleweight, and Heavyweight. Here are some example strengths and weaknesses for each type.

LIGHTWEIGHT
Characters Example: Sally, DJ
Strength:
- Incredible Acceleration
- Better handling to help tackle courses with several technical turns
- They boost for a long duration

Weakness:
- They sacrifice top speed as they have lowest top speed within the class

MIDDLEWEIGHT
Characters Example: Lightning McQueen, Flo
Strength:
- It's best to use characters, like Lightning for beginners.

Weakness:
- None

Both:
- It's an all-around type class with no advantage or disadvantage, in other words it's a balanced character.

HEAVYWEIGHT
Characters Example: Mater, Doc
Strength:
- The highest top speed
- Considered the best class sniped down the #1 record in every time trial course, as they are known to be "Record Breakers."

Weakness:
- They have a terrible acceleration to begin with.
- Certain characters like Mater gets stuck in some randomness. One course is a prime example is the "Last Exit" (foreshadowing...).
- Unlike Lightweight characters, they boost for a short duration

This as much as I can remember that each class by weight have simple strengths and weaknesses.
