Hello friends, I am DragoNate & welcome to Double. Double is a story based game about PTSD - Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Carlos was in the military, some kind of commander. He had a friend & something happened to him. It is unclear whether Carlos shot his friend or watched him die, but it's certain that his friend died & Carlos is messed up by this event. Each day, Carlos talks to his psychiatrist about his dreams & whatnot. His wife even came to see him. She wants him to get better, but they seem to have tension between them.
I REALLY enjoyed playing this game so far & am very much looking forward to playing more of it. The music is great, the story is actually something to get into. I love it. There's even upgrades you can get in Double, if you don't take your pills. These upgrades help Carlos in the dream world, where his nightmares haunt him.

Double is an action-quest game telling about a fight with a mental disorder by immersing in dreams. Choose your way and find out how this mystical story ends.
Carlos stays in a mental asylum and tries to overcome his post-war syndrome. Every day he must make a decision: continue his treatment or surrender to illusions.

Double includes gameplay in two worlds - the real world and the dream.
Dreams:
In dreams, the gameplay is a psychedelic 2d shooter with cover based gameplay. The boundaries of possible and impossible are erased, so the most unexpected can happen. Also, do not forget why you are here - gather information that can be useful in exploring the real world of the hero.
Reality:
In the mental hospital gameplay is a quest based on dialogue and choices. The development of the plot depends on what decisions you make. Be careful - sometimes dreams can penetrate into reality.
Music:
An important element of the Cuban atmosphere is music: acoustic guitar is a traditional instrument in Cuba, mixed with electric guitar riffs and electronic instruments to add a modern feel and a psychedelic feeling. In total, we have a deep and intense sound, which literally sucks in the atmosphere of the game.
