Do you even use the YouTube subscription page?
So many YouTubers complain that their subscribers don't see all their videos in the subscriptions page. But do you even know that your subscribers understand the difference between the home page and the subscription page?
In this video, we'll go over how you can check Traffic Sources within YouTube Analytics, and then filter for just your subscribers to see if they know the difference between the home page and the subscriptions tab -- this information is broken out under "browse features".
I'd love to hear your percentages -- in your youtube analytics traffic sources, what percentage of your watch time comes from browse features? And, of browse features, what percentage comes from the subscriptions page?
The sad news is that according to YouTube, most people probably don't use the subscriptions page as much as they should. As the creator academy course on Growing Your Audience puts it:
"Note: subscribers watch more from their subscriptions via Home than through the Subscriptions tab."
The main problem here, though, is that not every one of your videos will show up to every one of your subscribers on the home page, whereas they will all show up on the subscriptions tab...so if your viewers think that the sub box is the home page, then it makes sense that they would miss a lot of your videos.
