Dock-TOL Project: Gravtank | Flight Test
1The base for a gravtank concept in KSP. This uses the new docking port kraken drive.
In this video, I mainly just fly the craft around, getting a hang for how it flies/hovers. You can also see it's workings, bare bones as they are. I will attempt adding a turret soon (using BDA). This may be difficult, as it will greatly offset the center of mass during flight. With other craft, I have been able to sustain a stable hover for almost 3 minutes, during 4x time warp. However, all those craft had a stable center of mass...
Notice that I am using hinges instead of pistons. This is because hinges allow for finer throttle control. Docking ports appear to put off force, even when not completely linear.
