Many are looking to Russell T Davies, RTD, for answers when it comes to the upcoming era of Doctor Who which will feature Ncuti Gatwa as the Fifteenth Doctor and Millie Gibson as Ruby Sunday and understandably so.

However, former Showrunner, Steven Moffat, recently did an interview where he was asked whether he would return to the franchise and he assured fans that he has no plans to do so and doesn't want to say anything negative about the current state of the franchise as his statements would be everywhere very quickly and that the property is fine without him.

I don't think someone who loves the current direction of a series would even tease the idea of saying something negative and have that be the main bulk of their statement so this leads me to believe that perhaps Moffat has problems with the recent material and I wouldn't blame him for holding those opinions.
