In this beginners guide tutorial I show you how to get PC Arma 3 running and working on your Steam Deck, including the DLC such as Prairie Fire, Global Mobilization, Western Sahara, Spearhead 1944, CSLA Iron Curtain and online Multiplayer such as Mike Force.
Unfortunately at the time of recording this guide, there is no official Steam OS support for Arma 3 Steam Workshop Mods, and TBH you probably don't want to download all the mods you're subscribed to anyway, they'd take up way too much room, so I show you how to bypass the Launcher but still add the cDLC you want.
On your Steam Deck, on the Arma 3 page, click on "settings"(the cog wheel) then "properties", "general", and scroll down to "Launch Options".
For vanilla ARMA 3, add:
-noLauncher -noSplash -skipIntro
for Prairie Fire DLC Mod, add:
-noLauncher -noSplash -skipIntro -mod=vn
to launch with the WW2 Spearhead 1944 use:
-noLauncher -noSplash -skipIntro -mod=spe
and the other cDLC are
-mod=gm
-mod=csla
-mod=ws
