In this beginners guide how-to tutorial I show you how to get DayZ running on your Steam Deck by stopping the Official Launcher using "Launch Options", which are found under "settings (the gear cog)" "properties" and "General". Use the command
-noLauncher
to bypass the DayZ Launcher and instead jump straight into the game, where you can choose or change your server.
The downside to not using the launcher is that you can't load DayZ Steam Workshop Mods, but hopefully official support for mods in Steam OS won't be too far in the future.
I also show you how to get started and set up custom control bindings created by the community, and discuss the benefits of actually playing DayZ Experimental, which is a great way to help the DayZ Devs.
Thanks, Rob.
