Does dark matter exist in our galaxy?
Well, for what we know, the milky way owns dark matter too.
In fact, the visible disk of the Milky Way Galaxy is thought to be embedded in a much larger, roughly spherical huge halo of dark matter.
In particular, a new paper was published by Charlie Conroy (Center for Astrophysics, Harvard & Smithsonian) and his colleagues in which they discuss the topic, starting from the study of the path-story of the well known LMC (the large Magellanic cloud).
Let's see what they found, but first, we want to say something about the LMC.
