About 4 months ago I made a video about InZoi’s crazy hardware requirements. I will leave a link to that video in the descriptions and perhaps at the end of this video.
That video pointed out the, what I called, insane hardware specs for InZoi. This got quite a few comments from my viewers. Some of the comments were about the hardware specs and how those hardware specs are not insane at all. So, in this video I want to explain why the required hardware specs are actually a tough cookie to swallow for many of the potential players of InZoi.
First of all, let me make it clear: if you are a gamer who enjoys and games the latest action games and you hear about people freak out about the hardware requirements for InZoi… you will not take those complains seriously. You will wonder why are those guys complaining?
Afterall, you can play InZoi on a 4- or 5-year-old Computer and it will run well… Actually, Unreal Engine 5 games are being played by gamers right now.
However, let me explain to you what I see to be a big problem. The big challenge for InZo is to know who is actually going to play the game? Life simulation games like The Sims and InZOI are meant to give players the power to control the lives of virtual beings, letting them experience interesting events. Hence the games are in principle similar to each other.
Many will say that InZoi is similar to The Sims 4 in terms of the philosophy of the game. But the Sims 4 can be played on a laptop with a weak GPU…In fact, many Sims players play the Sims on a laptop.
InZoi requires a dedicated GPU and most Laptops in circulation don’t have them. Hence, the target audience of InZoi, the Sims 4 gamers, are most likely the ones who won’t be able to just move to the game using the same computer hardware they played the Sims 4 on.
So far, I have not heard anything from InZoi trying to address this, it seems like they are ignoring those gamers who are likely to enjoy InZoi the most. But maybe I am wrong with this assessment. Maybe InZoi gamers will come from a different demographic, and they already have the hardware needed to fully enjoy InZoi.
