Does Kingdom Hearts Need Disney Anymore?

Kingdom Hearts and Disney have been together ever since the series inception, being baked into it's DNA. Pitched as "Disney meets Final Fantasy", it's parts of it's base appeal, and is probably the reason that many people got into the series in the first place. But, now that we're 20 years into Kingdom Hearst and with the next game, Kingdom Hearts 4, giving a us a new pitch, "Kingdom Hearts gets real", an interesting question has come up. Does Kingdom Hearts even need Disney anymore? (spoiler: yes it does)
