A rhythm based RPG isn't something that I'd ever thought I needed. This was never an itch that needed to be scratched, but I'm very glad this developer showed me how to find and satisfy it. For free.

Nocturne: Prelude is a story driven game... and that's all I'm really willing to say about it. It surprised me right off the bat and I don't want to ruin that surprise for anyone. Just know that "eternal life comes with sacrifice" (the dev, probably). I've enjoyed every bit of it so far, and I've managed to do that without encountering a single bug.

The rhythm based combat is unique to say the least, and if you've got a hankering for some Guitar Hero in a somewhat fantasy based setting with a neat storyline (and a wise talking fish) then I highly recommend this game. Did I mention it's free? Because it's free.
