Does Wearing A Face Mask Affect Your Blood Oxygen Level? | A Theme Park Experiment & Disney Update!

In today’s vlog we head to Disney Springs and some Disney resorts to try out a theme park experiment! We’ve received some comments regarding the required mask wearing at all Orlando theme parks, some commenters were concerned that wearing the mask for prolonged periods of time could possible cause carbon dioxide buildup and oxygen depletion, so we wanted to put it to the test! We bought a blood oxygen monitor and took a reading before we headed to Disney Springs, but then also took readings through out the day as well. We wore the mask uninterrupted for over 3 hours. The results showed that we maintained the same blood oxygen level with the mask as we did without it. The mask did not affect our blood oxygen level. We also used this time to take a look at the new Disney bus rules and procedures. The buses have enacted a much lower capacity, physical barriers and no standing passengers. We also took a trip to the Disney’s Boardwalk resort and got a look at some EPCOT construction progress from afar. Then we headed to Beach Club and then caught another bus and went to Disney’s Grand Floridian and Disney’s Polynesian Resorts to try to take a closer look at the newly painted Cinderella Castle. It looks beautiful! We can’t wait to see it from inside the Magic Kingdom park! We hope you had fun hanging out with us on Disney property today and doing the theme park experiment!
