5Welcome back to another video! In this video, I will discuss how recent metrics suggest that Xbox Game Pass leads to a decline in individual sales of games at market price. There is no denying it, Xbox Game Pass is a phenomenal value, and subscribers definitely get their money’s worth investing in Game Pass if they unitize the service and play games in the library; however, I personally find it difficult to understand how publishers make big money using this service. Take Activision and Call of Duty for example. Call of Duty sells record numbers of games annually, so why would Activision have any desire to put a money-maker like COD into Game Pass? If Activision/Blizzard/King is acquired by Microsoft, then this is a moot point, but in this video I will discuss the current business model that is Xbox Game Pass.
