Welcome to another video! In this video, I will be discussing the continued fears that Sony can't get enough of Call of Duty regarding the Xbox Activision Blizzard Acquisition. Does Sony really care about Activision? Do they really care about Blizzard or King? The answer is no. Sony only cares about Call of Duty. They currently hold the marketing rights to Call of Duty, and have had the marketing rights for some time now. Sony is afraid that if they lose any part of Call of Duty, then Microsoft will truly become a power player in terms of global revenue. Also, Sony first party IPs are blockbuster games…and they sell. If Playstation Studios makes great games, and they sell, then why all this resistance to this attempted acquisition? Is the revenue from Call of Duty essential to Sony's business model in some way? Microsoft wants to know...
