Doki Doki Salvation Original: Episode 1
0After years of putting it off, I've decided to finally play this mod. I will play the original sometime after I've finished this one. I'm mainly doing this as a way to compare and contrast both mods to see what changed and what remains the same. That, and it only felt right that I do it this way.
From what I've gathered, this mod takes place just before the festival at the end of DDLC's act 1. Monika is self-aware and up to no good while MC tries his best to comfort Sayori after saving her life. I'm aware of some of the heavy themes that are in the mod, so I would like to say viewer discretion is advised with this and possibly future videos for this mod.
One thing to note about the remake is that it was taken down due to the author being given a lot of flack about apparently "wasting their time" in even making it and a ton of other horrible comments thrown their way. As such, you can't download it from that original download post anymore. I do have it, though, so I will be able to play through it myself. Even if he isn't around to see any of my silly videos, I do, at the very least, want to pay respect to the mod. From one author to another who has gotten their fair share of terrible comments (I still get threats and insults over Tainted Love), I would at the very least, want to try and be as supportive as possible. Sadly, I can't get in touch with him anymore, as he has disabled all social media and done away with the Salvation discord server. This will be my next option.
