Wow, I'm really impressed with this one. Would you believe that this is pretty much my first attempt at genuine 8-bit music?

Yeah... This was the most important missing song in the Gameboy port of DKC2. Why did they hide this masterpiece from us? Cartridge size? Grant Kirkhope's lack of 8-bit conversion skill (Keep in mind that it was his first task as a video game composer)? Or does Rare simply don't like this song very much, considering they also left it out on the SNES CD soundtrack?

And thus I filled in the last missing piece, the circle closes and I can die happy. To those not familiar to DKL2, maybe this video really feels like this song is an actual part of the game.
Unfortunately, I just realized after finishing the song that it never will be. Even if some GB hacker shows up and offers me to hack this into the ROM.
