Submission rules:
Your submission MUST contain video proof and game audio. Submissions without video proof and game audio won't be accepted.
Turbo is not allowed.
Save states may not be used to start a run (for example: to skip a long intro) or loaded at any point during a run. Doing so can unfairly manipulate RNG, whether knowingly or not.
If doing runs from a flash cart, include which one is used in submission notes, ie Everdrive, Powerpak
Bootleg roms or roms that do not have the correct copyright info on the bottom will be rejected.
Times below 1:05 are treated with suspicion. To maximise your chances of having a run verified it is highly recommended that you stream all of your attempts and provide split files.
Timing:
Timer starts, when control of Mario is gained.
Timer ends, when the last rivet is removed on the Rivet Board.
Please use milliseconds only for times below 1:10
Emulator specific rules:
Include emulator and version used in submission notes.
FCEUX, Nestopia, Mesen and Bizhawk/NEShawk are acceptable emulators. Most of the others (like Jnes) are banned being known for their inaccuracy.
It is preferred that the entire emulator window is captured, to help prove the emulator being used.
Recommended to use input display, frame counter and have “No Movie” showing to help prove legitimacy (provided that chosen emu has such features)
RAM and memory watch features are not allowed, as they provide an unfair advantage that is not possible on console.
Remapping buttons during a run is not allowed.
Mapping multiple buttons to one key is not allowed.
Rewind features not allowed.
Submitting a movie file or a recording of a movie file playing not allowed.
