首領蜂 / DonPachi 1CC 1-ALL (Ship Type C)
11 credit clear of the first loop of DonPachi, an arcade shmup developed by Cave and released by Atlus in 1995. This is a survival run with no emphasis on score. I wasn't interested in doing the second loop so I just let myself be destroyed at the end.
This is a game I appreciate more than I enjoy playing in the moment. It doesn't look too hard, but the combination of fast bullets and large hitbox make close dodging really challenging, at least for someone accustomed to the later entries of the series. Here I tried to play it as safe as possible and bomb whenever it got risky. It was fun to clear once to see the foundation of the series, but gameplay-wise it's too old school for me to want to keep improving.
