NZXT AER2 products require a special NZXT controller. Unfortunately some people buy AER2 products without the controller and then connect said AER2 items to their motherboard rgb header.

After all, why not? Default thinking for RGB is either it goes to the 12v/4pin rgb header or the 5v/3pin argb header. First we explore how to properly install NZXT AER2 products. As mentioned they all plug into a hub which then plugs into an internal usb header on the mobo.

Internal usb header, not rgb header!

What could possibly go wrong in plugging something into a hole which it wasn't meant to be plugged into? 😅
