Don't Knock Twice Halloween playthrough - VR Gameplay HTC Vive
10Happy Halloween everyone! Enjoy your (somewhat...) spooky playthrough of Don't Knock Twice. Contains spoilers so don't watch towards the end if you want to play through on your own...
I left the first few minutes in just because of the frustration of getting started. Might want to skip to the good stuff around 6:40
Let me start by once again saying I don't fright easily. The only horror title to legitimately get me good was Emily Wants to Play. () Outside of that game most horror titles fall a bit flat and, for better or worse, I refuse to be fake to you guys.
Controls were not bad. Nothing to write home about. I've seen worse but I've definitely seen better. Object collision was wonkey at times and swinging felt a bit clumsy. Grabbing and throwing things was in need of some work.
Locomotion had a variety of options which is always nice however you moved painfully slow with trackpad locomotion as well as got stuck frequently often having to step out of an obstacle in roomscale to get the trackpad working again.
The price may be on the steep side even with the Halloween sale. I struggle to recommend it when it's just over an hour in length and priced at $19.99. Halloween sale price at 11.99. There are plenty of achievements to unlock and potentially multiple endings so there is some replay value to be had.
If you're easily thrilled and a fan of VR horror, Don't Knock Twice has an interesting story and might be a good fit in your Steam library. I'm glad I played through it at least once but I think that was enough for me. If you do get it though, get it soon while it's still on sale!
